My name is Robin and I'm an artist and educator working in Rhode Island. I have a BA in art history with a minor in Spanish. I also received my MAT in Art + Design Education from Rhode Island School of Design, in Providence.
I am primarily a fiber artist and quilter. To me, the process of making can be as nourishing and connecting as the final piece. I forage locally for natural materials to hand-dye fabric, as well as create my own fabric prints. My work is equally an exploration of organic form and of linear design.
I believe that visual arts are the central connection between all other disciplines. Through art-making students have the opportunity to connect more deeply with their inherent strengths, and in turn affect the world around them. I believe that through thoughtful teaching, the progressive art studio can promote technology, yet favor humanity.
